COVID-19 UPDATE: Due to the recent disruption caused by COVID-19, we are now offering a digital masterclass on the basics of Tokenisation.
On the 5th of June, 2Tokens will organise the first online masterclass with Dan Liebau. This introductory 1-day masterclass for professionals in financial services, law firms, regulators as well as professional services firms aims to highlight the tremendous opportunities digital economies can bring to the table while keeping a very clear eye on the related risks that need to be managed in this context.
Participants will be able to learn from a mix of practitioners and academics in the field of blockchain and financial markets. Singapore based Dan Liebau, Affiliate Faculty for FinTech, Blockchain Technology & Digital Assets and Lecturer with Rotterdam School of Management’s Executive Education department will lead you through this masterclass full of interactive discussions, guest lectures and hands on working sessions.
Few concepts are more widely discussed and poorly understood than token financing. The world seems to know that tokens are important, but little else; the word token is used in a myriad of ways today, many of which conflict. Tokens offer us the chance to rethink collaboration across society as a whole, from businesses to governments and citizens. With tokens, value transactions become immutable, verifiable and traceable without the need for an intermediary, while significantly increasing efficiency and effectiveness.

With tokens, value transactions become immutable, verifiable and traceable without the need for an intermediary, while significantly increasing efficiency and effectiveness. Tokenisation will disrupt existing business processes and business models. This package of advanced masterclasses is expected to be available around September/October, pending lifting of COVID-19 restrictions. These are broken down into three classes:
- Token Finance: Token financing offers companies a variety of benefits, including the democratisation of value creation. We will discuss impact on society, innovative funding and base token types
- Token Regulation: The regulation of the token economy is one of the most conflicting tasks within the Token ecosystem. We will give a global view of
regulation, how different countries approach the issue and in what ways investors are protected against bad practices.
- Token Engineering: This deep dive helps to create a clear definition and scope of the token concept, including use cases, taxonomy and terminology, and a specification neutral to underlying technology.
